Lineage of the Future
A complete exhibition, ready for its next setting
Sulala — Lineage of the Future is planned for Gulf cities in 2027–2030. The five sculptures and interpretation are complete and ready to travel. Dates and venues will be announced after confirmation.
What the exhibition brings
Five over-life-size family portraits, historical films, archival footage, and interpretive texts follow a century from Smyrna to Athens to New York. Arabic is the exhibition’s principal interpretive language; the seven films, this website, and the downloadable introduction are also available in English.
Space and layout
The five busts range from 75 to 91 cm in height and from 55 to 60 cm in diameter. These are sculpture dimensions, excluding display bases. A venue plan must allow room to view the works from different sides, accessible circulation, interpretation, and film viewing. A minimum floor area has not yet been specified; the layout is to be agreed with each venue.
Installation and film presentation
Base dimensions, mounting, weights and floor loads, handling access, lighting, and the audiovisual setup are to be confirmed with the studio for the proposed space. Share a floor plan, ceiling heights, door and lift dimensions, and photographs so those questions can be addressed before a booking.
Transport and responsibilities
The shipping origin, packing and crate specifications, transport, customs, insurance, and installation schedule are to be agreed for each loan. Costs and responsibility for each element should be recorded in the exhibition agreement; no standard package or included shipping is stated here.
Materials and support
The exhibition’s texts and films in Arabic and English are prepared. This website provides bilingual introductions, an exhibition brief, and press images with captions. Ask the studio about technical coordination, image files for print, and any proposed artist visit, talk, or education programme; availability and scope are agreed individually.

Email the studio with your institution, city, proposed dates, approximate exhibition area, a floor plan if available, and the name of the person coordinating the proposal. This is an initial conversation, not a booking commitment.
